Valenza comes in two dining sets: a 140 cm table with four chairs, or a 160 cm table with six. The larger option adds 20 cm of table length and two chairs, while the width and height stay the same.
That makes the choice more specific than simply “small or large”. You need to consider how many people sit down each day, where the chairs will go, and whether the dining area still works when everyone is seated. Here is how to compare the two Valenza Travertine Top & Solid Wood Dining Set options for your Singapore home.
Compare the two Valenza configurations
| Option | What is included | Table size: L × W × H | Listed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.4 m / 1+4 | One table and four chairs | 140 × 80 × 75 cm | S$899 |
| 1.6 m / 1+6 | One table and six chairs | 160 × 80 × 75 cm | S$1,199 |

The S$300 difference covers a longer table and two additional matching chairs. It is a set comparison, so dividing that difference by two would not tell you the individual price of a chair.
The 140 cm set: start with your everyday seats
The 140 cm option is a sensible starting point if four seats cover your usual meals and you want to keep the table’s footprint shorter. Measure it in the position you intend to use, including its distance from a kitchen counter, sideboard or nearby doorway.
If you often serve several shared dishes, mark the 140 × 80 cm surface on a counter or with paper and lay out your usual place settings. That simple test shows how much space remains for serving bowls. A styled photograph with one vase cannot answer that question for your household.
Choose this option because the four-chair arrangement works for you, rather than assuming the smaller tabletop can accommodate the larger set’s seating in the same way.
The 160 cm set: plan for six chairs as well as the longer top
The 160 cm set is worth considering when you need six matching chairs regularly. It gives you a longer tabletop, but the width remains 80 cm. The extra length does not create more room across the table for dishes.
Also allow for where six people will sit. The table’s legs and the chairs’ widths affect positioning, and the listing does not provide the clear distance between the legs or the chair dimensions. Confirm those measurements if your layout is tight.
A dining area that fits the table with all chairs tucked in may feel very different during dinner. Check the route to the kitchen with chairs pulled back, especially if someone needs to pass behind a seated person.
Measure from the table edge to the nearest obstruction
Use removable tape to mark the full 140 × 80 cm or 160 × 80 cm rectangle on the floor. Measure to the nearest part of each surrounding object, including projecting handles and the front of a sideboard.
Then add the chair positions. If your planned layout allows a particular amount of space at each end, the 160 cm version needs 20 cm more overall length than the 140 cm version. If you centre the longer table in exactly the same space, it moves each end 10 cm closer to its surroundings.
Test your actual routine: sit down, push the chair back to stand, and walk past the dining area. Where cabinet doors or drawers face the table, test those too. The table dimensions alone do not include any of these movements.
Look at the chair and the table frame together
Valenza pairs a light beige travertine tabletop with a solid wood table frame in a warm brown tone. Its rectangular top has rounded corners, while the chairs have curved wooden backs and oatmeal-coloured cushioned seats.
The listed table height is 75 cm. To understand how the chair fits beneath it, you also need seat height and clearance below the table frame. Our dining table and chair height guide explains those two measurements.
For colour matching, compare the light top, brown frame and oatmeal seats with your flooring and existing cabinetry. Room lighting and screens can change how those tones appear.
Plan a care routine for the travertine surface
Before choosing a cleaner or sealer, confirm the tabletop’s finish and the care instructions for Valenza. The listing identifies travertine, but does not specify its protective treatment or a resealing schedule.
For general natural-stone care, the Natural Stone Institute recommends coasters, trivets for hot items, prompt blotting of spills and a suitable neutral cleaner. Its guidance also warns that lemon- or vinegar-based cleaners can dull or etch acid-sensitive stone. Use a soft cloth and follow the cleaning-product instructions.
Keep the wood frame and upholstered seats in mind too: a cleaner intended for the tabletop is not automatically suitable for every part of the set.
Which Valenza set fits your dining routine?
Shortlist the 140 cm four-chair set if four everyday seats meet your needs and the shorter footprint helps your layout. Shortlist the 160 cm six-chair set if you need six coordinated seats and can accommodate them in use.
